Jnr Mobile App Developer

Job Description

We are a looking for a Junior/Mid level mobile application developer to join our team.

• You will be responsible for developing and supporting mobile applications using Flutter.
• You will be required to maintain, support, design, develop, test, implement, and integrate systems to scale as required.
• You will also be required to research and implement new technologies and best practices.
• You need to be a strong team player, and able to take initiative and function in stressful situations.
• Must be willing to learn and be open to guidance and constructive feedback from other senior team members and architects.
• Taking ownership of development endeavours will also be required.

Tasks:

• Developing commercial-grade mobile applications
• Ability to operate independently while delivering work that meets the quality and standards as dictated by the employer
• Interact with colleagues to gain understanding & requirements
• Be able to pick up modules developed by other developers when required
• You will have huge creative freedom and ability to influence the project, so you will take ownership and responsibility for what you do.
• Design and develop new backend services
• Build clean and structured code and libraries
• Implementing security and data protection
• Research new tech that will benefit the team, project or client
• Provide insight and contribute to software design
• Maintain quality and ensure the responsiveness of applications.
• Translating UI and UX wireframes to visual elements of the application
• Integrating frontend and backend aspects of the application
• Readiness to learn and expand your skillset as required by ongoing projects
• Developing and maintaining mobile applications
• Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents.
• Bug fixing
• Use development frameworks, methodologies, and procedures to facilitate application design and delivery according to technical specifications
• Delivering code that is functional, understandable, maintainable and testable.
• Responsible for the design and development of new backend applications.

Qualification Requirements:

- Matric Must have ONE of the 3 requirements below:

• Recognized IT Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Development
• Attended a developer bootcamp
• 2 years of experience as a developer

Requirements & Skills:

• Experience with Flutter
• Experience in utilising good security practices
• Understanding of server-side languages
• Experience in creating projects from scratch
• Experience with profiling and performance optimisation
• Experience in Performing Code reviews giving high-quality feedback during code review
• Experience in managing a codebase (branching, merging etc.)
• Experience working in an Agile/Waterfall environment
